First, load a Kickstart ROM
The Amiga can't switch on without Kickstart, the operating system in its ROM chip. It is still under copyright, so it isn't included here: choose or drop your own Kickstart image. It stays in this browser and is never sent anywhere. The browser remembers it, so you only need to do this once.

Kickstart ROM Required
Kickstart 1.3 is the A500's own and runs the most games; 1.2, 2.04 and 3.1 for the A500 work too. 256 KB (1.2 and 1.3) or 512 KB (2.04 and later). Amiga Forever's encrypted ROMs work with their
rom.key, and so do byte-swapped dumps and dumps of the two ROM chips.Often named

rom.key Needed for that ROM
The ROM is encrypted. Add the
rom.keyfile that came with it.
Pick the files, or a .zip containing them. A whole ROM collection works too: the newest Kickstart for the A500 in it is used, and you can switch to the others.

Release to load the ROM
Drop .adf, .adz or .zip files anywhere on the page to put them in DF0 (onto DF1 for DF1). Several at once, such as all the disks of a game, give each drive a Swap menu for changing disks.

Release to insert
Click the screen to use the mouse (Esc lets it go). Most games take a joystick in port 2: choose keys for it to play on the keyboard (keys used by a joystick don't type on the Amiga, so set it back to No keys for typing). Gamepads work without taking any keys. Home and End are the left and right Amiga keys, Insert or Page Down is Help, and Ctrl with both Amiga keys resets. The Amiga plays two of its sound channels only on the left and two only on the right; on headphones, move Stereo towards Mono to blend them.
